School Staff Updates 

Event Planning for 25/26- below is a partial list- see HCP PTC Calendar on table.

Back to School night 8/21/25

Welcome Back Bash 8.12

November- Family Dance- week before Thanksgiving Break

November- Beach Hut Deli- First of 4 Family Nights Out

Marshall requested adding more- usually need to be on weeknights- not weekend nights

Katie can be there on-site

Can do a Ginger Bread contest this year for Christmas Movie Night

Proposed Date for Pancake Day Friday, February 27 th - needs approval from Leesa

Consider swapping APEX for another event- like Kindness Day- concerns about

expense/reduction in donations; idea to do a Halloween costume run- include

parents/teachers, majority like the idea of a halloween type fun run.

Summer Kickoff is happening after the auction

Bylaws (adjusting for this next year) discussing these with a lawyer, they have not been updated since 2019.

Membership Cord- Kristin

Re-defining/expanding membership/voting rights- may need bylaw revision(s)

Look for an attorney to help with bylaws

PLEDGE Drive or Membership Drive?

Membership Drive re-named to Pledge Drive, different options in setting up tiers vs a onetime costs, or different tiers of membership, what do other PTC's do? Emailed for other available options, will nail down an idea for this year to simplify process.

Donut party for the class that gets the most memberships.

Membership toolkit was under-utilized

about $6,000 raised last year out of membership drives

Class funds travel with the kids from grade to grade

Possible change in incoming balances when changing from the tier/membership system as membership drive supported one PTC bucket (finances) that supports everything PTC

ACE Hardware good for specific events(auction support)

Open Forum/Discussion

New Topics/Questions

Learning/Design Lab, still need more details and understanding of what it is.

Treasurer Forms and Updates- Lindsey:

Budget balanced for last school year- spent what was budget for

Checks going to teachers

Process for getting checks from treasurer- receipt and check request form needed

Can put in PTC box in front office

We have general liability insurance

Voting in additional board members and correct positions
